Dear partners,
We would like to inform you that the Balkan Gas Hub Trading Platform has been successfully launched via the first auction from the 2020 Gas Release Programme.
More than 15 participants were admitted for participation, where one yearly and twelve monthly products were offered. As a result of the deals, for the first time on the Bulgarian gas market electronic trading was realized and 550 000 MWh (~ 55 mcm) were traded, or 25 percent of the total quantity released.
The second auction from the GRP will be held on 16 December 2019 under the conditions of item 8.2 of the GRP Agreement approved by the EWRC, with the aim of security of supply in the country. The participants who are already registered and have signed an Agreement for participation, including Annex 2, have the right to participate in the second auction, without having to present any additional documents. In addition, we would like to remind you that the signed Agreement for participation is valid for the auction period in December 2019 or until completion of the last auction.
Registration for new participants for the second auction on 16 December 2019 will continue until 11 December 2019. In relation to this please fill in the Registration Form.
The registration form and its accompanying documents must be sent to the following email address: admin@balkangashub.bg with copy to simona.barakova@balkangashub.bg.
The original filled in and signed Registration Form along with the accompanying documents must be sent to the Registry office of Balkan Gas Hub EAD in a sealed envelope marked "Registration form for GRP" no later than 13 December 2019 to the following address: Residential area Lyulin 2, 66 Pancho Vladigerov Blvd., 1336 Sofia, Bulgaria, Attn. of Mrs Simona Barakova
After successful registration, Balkan Gas Hub EAD will also be expecting the signed Agreement for participation from the successful candidates, also by 13 December 2019.
