Bulgartransgaz EAD announced the first two public procurements related to implementation of Interconnection Bulgaria-Serbia.
The first procurement in the amount of BGN 540 thousand, VAT excluded, is for development of a technical design for the interconnector on Bulgarian territory. Offers for participation in it will be accepted until July 3, 2020.
Within the framework of the second announced procedure, Bulgartransgaz EAD will look for a project consultant, who will also have to exercise construction supervision. The estimated value of this procedure amounts to BGN 320 thousand, VAT excluded, and offers for participation will be accepted until July 17, 2020.
Ranking of the participants in both procurements will be based on the most economically advantageous offer, expressed as the optimal quality/price ratio, according to objective indicators such as period of performance, price parameters, etc.
The Interconnection Bulgaria-Serbia has been declared a project of common interest for the European Union. Its implementation is part of the government's management programme in the Energy sector, aimed at ensuring energy security and diversification of sources and routes of natural gas supply.
The interconnector is of key importance for implementation of the concept for establishment of a gas distribution centre in the country. It is one of the priority projects of the High Level Group on Energy Connectivity in Central and South-East Europe (CESEC). The deadline for its commissioning is May 2022.
