Bulgartransgaz EAD implemented an information security management system at the beginning of 2021. The system has been integrated with the other management systems of the company and has undergone a full internal audit, which has ascertained a very good level of compliance with the requirements of the system and standard ISO/IEC 27001: 2013. After a certification audit conducted in two stages by an independent accredited organization, the information security management system of Bulgartransgaz EAD was certified for compliance with the requirements of the standard.
The certificate covers: Security of data, commercial information, industrial systems and platforms, infrastructure and regulating, managing, protective communication and information networks and resources in natural gas transmission and storage. The validity of the certificate is until June 2024 and will be confirmed after each control audit.
The activities for implementation and certification of the information security management system of Bulgartransgaz EAD were performed in the period May 2019 - June 2021 within the project № 2018-BG-IA-0134 co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) of the European Union. The total value of the project is EUR 188 841 of which EUR 141 630 are grants under CEF, Telecommunications Sector.
