Bulgartransgaz EAD Executive Director, Vladimir Malinov held meetings with representatives of leading international financial institutions within the framework of a prestigious financial forum in Vienna, organized by the Financial Times. The forum brought together finance ministers, central bank governors, leading investors, banks and corporations from Central and Eastern Europe, with the investment environment and economic prospects for the region being among the main topics. The participants in the discussions emphasized on the key role of liquefied natural gas to diversify supplies, minimize risk and stabilize prices on regional markets.

The main focus of the meetings held by Vladimir Malinov with representatives of financing institutions was on development of strategic projects for the region by the Bulgarian gas transmission operator and the opportunities for participation of financing institutions in their implementation. He met with senior representatives of Bank of America, J.P. Morgan, Citi, ING, Standard Chartered Bank and Cargill. "For Bulgartransgaz, the implementation of the strategic for Europe Vertical Gas Corridor, the participation in projects related to regasification of liquefied natural gas, as well as the improvement of regional connectivity remain high priorities. They are of key importance to ensure long-term energy security and we have support at the government level through issued state guarantees," Vladimir Malinov said during the meetings. In this context, opportunities for refinancing the company's current liabilities were discussed with representatives of the financing institutions in order to optimize interest rates. During the talks, representatives of the leading international financial institutions expressed their readiness to participate in financing of all projects and activities implemented by Bulgartransgaz. Their positive assessment is motivated by the company's stable financial results, sustainable cash flows and consistent, responsible management, which establishes Bulgartransgaz as a reliable and predictable partner for long-term investments.

Vladimir Malinov held a bilateral meeting with the Director at Bank of America, Emily Bowes. They offer long-term financing, which requires in-depth analysis on their part. “It is of utmost importance for Bulgartransgaz to work with a partner of the rank of Bank of America,” Malinov stated. In his conversation with directors at CITI Bank, Malinov emphasized that for the Bulgarian gas transmission operator, continuing cooperation with the bank remains a priority.
